Coming at human language from the perspective of deaf aliens (but with a heightened sense of syncopation and voices suited to unusual harmonic modes) the inhabitants of Ectoplanet can sometimes recognize powerful roots in words which native speakers ignore. In this case, the ugly sound of the grinding “g” after the vowel followed by a vernacular term for urinal indicates that “igloo” is a coarse version of a foreign word (probably Inuit) chosen and bastardized by invaders to indicate contempt for both the humble dwellings of the ice people and for the people themselves.
